Review by hotel critic
I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Ocean Park, which is ideally situated near breathtaking coastal views. As a marine biologist, I always appreciate hotels that embrace their natural surroundings. The location offers stunning vistas of the North Sea, making it a perfect retreat for nature enthusiasts. Upon arrival, I found the staff to be friendly and eager to assist, though there was a noticeable shortage during peak hours. This led to longer wait times, which slightly marred the dining experience. Speaking of dining, I was excited to try the offerings at Santana Restaurant. I found the fish curry disappointing, with a flavor profile that seemed more reminiscent of over-spiced chili than the rich seafood flavors one would expect from a coastal locale. It was unfortunate, as I had anticipated a culinary highlight given the hotel's reputation. Breakfast included a variety of options, though the overall execution was inconsistent. While the room itself was spacious and clean, the service could benefit from improvement. A well-staffed establishment would elevate the guest experience significantly. This stay offered valuable moments amid its challenges, particularly for those who appreciate the beauty of the Nordic landscape.
